Privacy

Your privacy is of utmost importance. All personal information collected during each session will remain confidential. There are, however, some exceptions to the maintenance of confidentiality.

This includes information required by a court of law (subpoena), or if failing to disclose the information could place someone at serious or imminent risk of harm.

Clients who wish for their clinical information to be released to other health professionals must provide written consent. Please discuss any concerns you may have before commencing therapy.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE?

My practice is located in a quiet and safe place with your privacy and comfort of utmost importance. Our first session will lay the ground-work for your recovery, during which we will briefly cover how your privacy is maintained as well as establishing some rapport. You will then be able to discuss the issue that concerns you. At the end of the session we will discuss your goals to recovery and collaborate on a treatment plan.

Each individual and issue is unique. Therefore, the number of sessions required for resolution will depend on the type of issue, the goals of treatment and on what may be preventing you from achieving your goals.

Telehealth

The digital age has brought the advent of Online Counselling (Telehealth), making mental health support more accessible and convenient. It allows individuals to seek help from the comfort and privacy of their homes, breaking barriers that may have prevented them from seeking traditional in-person counselling. Please get in touch with us for more information.
