As a bilingual therapist, Jo offers counselling services in English or Mandarin/Chinese. Jo’s practice of cultural sensitivity, understanding and effective communication helps individuals feel heard and understood. Jo works with older adolescents, adults and older adults.

Jo is experienced working with trauma, mental health concerns, adjustment to lifestyle changes, and relationship struggles. She is skilled in both individual and group-based treatment, offering mindfulness, counselling and distress tolerance strategies. Jo offers Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) based skills training. She offers mindfulness in nature, in her “Walk and Talk” approach. She is also able to work with self-funded NDIS patients and Work Cover referrals.

Understanding Mental Wellness

Mental wellness is a vital aspect of overall health, emcompassing emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It involves how we think, feel, and act, as well as how we handle stress, make choices, and relate to others. At Connect2Wellness Counselling, we recognise that achieving mental wellness is a dynamic process that requires attention and care.
